Chassis Number: 171255DN
Engine Number: KJ9907-8

A comparatively late 3.4 litre MKII benefiting from the fitment of Jaguar's all-synchromesh four-speed manual plus overdrive gearbox, `HUO 801D' began life in Devon (or so its number plate would imply). Finished in the evocative combination of British Racing Green with Red leather upholstery, the sports saloon is understood to have been extensively restored some twenty years ago including a thorough engine overhaul, rejuvenated interior and numerous new suspension components etc. Said to `drive very well', the Jaguar is rated by the vendor as follows: bodywork/paintwork: `fair to good', engine/electrical equipment: `very good', four-speed manual/overdrive gearbox: `fair' and interior trim: `very good/original'. Riding on powder-coated wire wheels, this handsome MKII is offered for sale with MOT certificate valid until June 2015.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
