Car to be at auction 6/21
angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic/sat-26th-sunday-27th-june/1967-jaguar-s-type-34- ...

Auction description:
1967 Jaguar S-Type 3.4 M/OD
Lot Number: 158
Estimate: £6,000 - 8,000

V5 Present
MoT Exempt
Chassis number: 1B5915DN

In desirable manual with overdrive spec, the V5 of this Jaguar S‑type 3.4 records seven former keepers. The paperwork stretches back to the 1990s, with much of the 21st century attention courtesy of Hall and Martin in Gloucestershire; there are invoices totalling many thousand pounds, including extensive mechanical and welding work in 2014 coming to £3346.18. The bills for parts, many from specialist David Manners, also run into the thousands. A new radiator was fitted in 2018. However, the most significant expenditure was in 2000, when the 3442cc six‑cylinder engine, gearbox and overdrive were rebuilt by Bristol Classic Cars at a cost of over £4000. There are pictures of the engine rebuild included. Since then, the car has covered very few miles, with its MoTs ‑ the certificates in the history file date back to 1981 (when mileage was 17,366) ‑ backing up the current tally of 36,000 miles. Also in the files are tax discs back to 1991. This Jaguar starts, runs and drives well.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
