The Jaguar MK2 saloons were made with three engine sizes; the 2400cc, the 3400cc and the largest of them all was the 3800cc unit. This 1968 example has the 2483cc six cylinder engine and it has the much preferred manual four speed gearbox with overdrive.
The private owner and vendor informs us that the car is an original United Kingdom car, which is believed to have covered only 82297 miles from new, and it has recently had some restoration work carried out including the fitment of a new stainless steel exhaust.
The car generally needs some tidying and finishing off but the bodywork is finished in Red and it has the Black interior trim and upholstery. With the sale comes a current M.O.T certificate until the end of November this year and a current road fund licence until the end of December this year.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
