This seems to be the car pictured at page 65 of Viart's "Jaguar XK140 Expored", being lifted on slings onto a ship at Dagenham, destination USA when new. The car was evidently a "Home Delivery" Export" car, being registered in Coventry NRW217 on 17 August 1954 and thereafter would have been used in the UK and perhaps Europe by its new owner for a short time before being sent to the USA. It appears to be Cream and its engine number D3735-8 was recorded in Coventry registration records.
