Ebay item 6/27/14 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-Other-saloon-1959-JAGUAR-MARK-IX-LUXURY-SALOON-CAR-MK-JA ...
Car has a buy it now price of $24,995 for 9 days.
Sellers description:
Here is a beautifully maintained 1959 Jaguar Mark IX large luxury saloon car. This is an original Southern California car, current owner has owned it since 1998.
Owner believes the two-tone paint is original (Olive Drab and Swiss Mocha). This has been a true labor of love for the owner who has put a lot of time and money into this beauty over the years - he now has three other Jags and no longer has the time devoted to care for the car.
All service records and manuals are included. Per the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, the car is a very late 1959 model (see chassis number chart in photos). The registration indicates it was first sold in 1960 but erroneously indicates the vehicle to be a 1961 model.
Car is running, driving and stopping beautifully - properly and meticulously maintained. Interior has been re-done in blue velour, and the wood has also been re-done nicely. New headliner. All glass and chrome are believed to be original. Paint looks decent, some minor chips and nicks present. Body is straight. New Coker tires, new exhaust system, and new trunk lid handles. All work has been done by Jaguar specialized mechanics. Over the years, car has had the following work: Brakes done, transmission overhauled and partly re-built, new oil pump, carburetors re-built with new seals to accommodate modern fuel, engine polished, power steering pump re-built, radiator cleaned, car runs cool with no over-heating issues. Heater box, fuse box, and air cleaner were all powder-coated.
