Car returns to ebay 4/9/23
Opening bid $4,000 no reserve, 0 bids, 6 days left in auction, seller drmikeeye, 61k miles, car now in Powhatan, Virginia.
Seller's description:
1960 Mark IX Project car. British Racing green with brown interior. It is very complete and solid but will need a good bit of work. I don’t want to see it go for parts as it is certainly complete and healthy enough to bring back to life. I have restored one of these cars before so I know what is involved. This car would be a great candidate for a sympathetic restoration. Almost everything is there. Most of the rust is surface rust. All the panels/floor and chassis are solid. All the doors and panels line up well and open and close nicely. All of the chrome including the grill is in good condition. Interior is good except for headliner and bottom of front seat. Engine is original and it has the desirable and less common and more powerful higher 9:1 compression ratio. The number 6 cylinder (close to radiator) has low compression from a bad exhaust valve (likely for poor fuel with higher compression engine). The car is not running but the engine turns over easily. The car is worth more in parts but it would be a shame to break the car since it is so complete and it is very solid.
