Chassis number P1B7260DN - the Heritage Cerificate supplied with this car shows a manufacture date of May 27th 1966 prior tp a despatch date of July 20th 1966 and that the car was originally Opalescent Gold Sand. This 3.4 manual with Overdrive and Power Steering example was distributed to Rossleigh Ltd in Edinburgh prior to going to the dealerships Kirkcaldy Fife branch who show on the Heritage Cerficate as the cars first owners. The "HXA" registration the car carries would have been issued in Kirkcaldy between February and July 1967 this ties in with the car carrying an "E" registration and would pehaps suggest the car sat around for some time before it was finally registered. The "S" Type Jaguar was introduced during September 1963 and remained in production until July 1968, this cars Chassis Number falls within the 1966 allocation of P1B6249 to P1B8373 for a UK Home Market supplied 3.4 example. There is an excellent quantity of paperwork in the history file dating from 1995 to around 2014 which the vendor has totalled to some £20k. The car shows a date of registration on DVLA of June 18th 1996 which may be indicitive of the owner at the time reapplying for a registration document for a car he was restoring. The cars last MOT was completed on September 4th 2015 at 6431 miles on the cars odometer. There is no known history on the car between 1967 and 1995. The car does not appear to retain its original Chassis Plate.
