    Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar Kougar 3.4S Sports MK II

We are pleased to offer this very unique and attractive Kougar Jaguar 3.4S Spork MK II Roadster. While some Kougars were delivered in kit form to their first owner, this car was assembled at the factory and the quality of assembly and level of craftsmanship reflect this. This is reportedly one out of approximately 250 produced. Sold new to Mr. James Routledge of Sussex, UK on August 3rd 1967. It remained in the UK until it was imported into the US in 1980 by its current owners here in CA. The car operates wonderfully having been treated to much recent work including a complete engine teardown and rebuild.

This particular example is titled in California as a 1967 Jaguar 3.4S, the car from which most of its components are derived. It is powered by a 3.4S twin overhead cam inline 6 cylinder Jaguar engine, mated to a Jaguar 4-speed transmission. Front and rear suspension is taken directly from a Jaguar, retaining Jaguars innovative inboard rear disc brakes and independent rear suspension. The chassis is a very rigid round tubular space frame design, covered by an attractive fiberglass body distinctive of the 1950s era.

Considerably lighter and more agile than an XKE or Jaguar sedan, this Kougar will out corner, out accelerate, and stop faster than virtually any Jaguar available to the general public in the 1950s or 1960s. The engine starts easily and makes excellent power accompanied by the wonderful inline 6 cylinder exhaust note from the side pipe exhaust. The transmission shifts smoothly as it should, suspension is well balanced and the brakes are effective.

Cosmetically the car is in good condition with an older paint job finished in Orange with Brown detail pinstriping that still shows very well. The chrome wire wheels are in great condition as is the rest of the chrome and brightwork which is also in good condition. This particular example also features a rear luggage rack. The interior is finished in Black vinyl, accented with a vintage British Moto-Lita hand-crafted leather steering wheel, wood shift knob, Smiths gauges and harness seat belts.

This Kougar comes with documentation going back to new including the UK registration booklet showing ownership and Kougar manual. Registered as a 1967 year model this car is smog exempt in California. This Kougar 3.4S is an excellent value and a fascinating conversation piece. If you are looking for something different, unique and very fun to drive, this Kougar Jaguar is it!

No, This Is Not An Allard.......However it IS RARE.......
1967 Jaguar Kougar 3.4S Sports Mark II Roadster
    Factory built in the UK

#7 of 250 factory produced examples

Only 14 reportedly delivered to the U.S.

Original paperwork and registration from the first UK owner

Powered by a healthy 3.4S twin overhead cam inline 6 cylinder Jaguar engine mated to a Jaguar 4 speed transmission with electric overdrive. Front and rear Jaguar suspension with inboard disc brakes and independant rear suspension. Light and agile it will outperform, out corner, out accelerate, and stop faster than an XKE from the same era. The engine starts easily, and the transmission shifts smoothly.

This car is finished in its original color - golden sand. Safety belts are racing style quick release. Engine rebuilt in 2010.

This car attracts all sorts of attention...."is it an Allard"? ......."whats it got in it"?........."has it been raced"?

This car comes with a binder, including records of registration in the United Kingdom from 1967 and the original Kougar manual.

    Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar Kougar 3.4S Sports MK II Roadster If your looking for a car to stand out at the car show, this is the one. Nobody else will have one. This car attracts attention wherever you go. Since I owned it, I have taken to a few British car shows. The car won best of show by popular choice at the Rochester, NY and second place at Buffalo, NY. I have paperwork from original owner when the car was a Jaguar S back in Britain. After the car left Great Britain, it went to California spending it's life there. The car is number matching to the factory data plate from day one . The car has receipt for total engine and carberator rebuild. The car has original paint, so it does show some age. There is some small spider webbing in rear section of vehicle and on rear fender (see picture). Car is registered as a Jaguar Kougar. You will be given a New York State transferable registration as proof of ownership as NY does not issue titles on vehicles before 1973. Vehicle is located out side Buffalo New York.
